SAWYER AT LARGE is a stand up commentary program in which artist-activist David Sawyer expounds upon the issues of the times. It can be booked as a lecture, a lecture concert, a spoken word art piece and as a companion to a seminar, conference or workshop environment. It is also suitable for casting for the web, radio, television and motion picture use.

DAVID SAWYER is a lecturer, writer, community activist, and performing artist based in the Mid Atlantic region of the United States. As a lecturer, Sawyer has addressed college campuses, union halls, conferences and class rooms as well as radio and television appearances. He has lectured on the role music plays in movements for social change in U.S. history. His "Sawyer At Large" program is a stand up commentary on current events, often revealing the roots of modern social conditions and offering workable approaches to problem solving. His work is motivational and inspirational towards the end of social and economic justice. Mr. Sawyer recently appeared as Craig Robe in the acclaimed play “Grandchildren Of The Buffalo Soldiers” by William Yellow Robe, Jr. at The National Museum of the American Indian. He is currently preparing for distribution the National Community Comprehensive Re-Creation Project (NCCRP). He is currently researching for a text: "The Hue And Cry At The End Of The Rainbow: Cultural Diversity And The Quest For Humanity In The Twenty-First Century."
